About Phase 16A Bluewater Diving

Instructor-led training and trip planning built for real confidence in the water

Phase 16A Bluewater Diving is for divers—and soon-to-be divers—who want more than a quick checklist. We focus on practical skills, calm coaching, and the kind of preparation that makes you feel genuinely ready, not just “certified.” If you’re brand new, getting back in after time away, or leveling up toward bigger dives and better control, you’ll feel the difference in how we teach: patient, structured, and always grounded in safety.

What matters most to us is what happens when you’re actually in the water. Good diving looks relaxed. It looks aware. It feels like you know what to do next. That’s what we build—step by step.

You work directly with an instructor (and a trip coordinator when you travel)

A lot of dive experiences feel like you’re handed off from person to person. We keep things simple and personal.

When you train with Phase 16A Bluewater Diving, you work directly with an instructor who guides your progress, answers your questions, and adapts the pace to what you need. If you’re the kind of person who learns best by understanding the “why,” we’ll explain it. If you prefer clear, repeatable steps you can practice, we’ll coach it that way.

And when you’re planning a trip or a dive-focused getaway, you’re not left to piece it together on your own. You’ll also have help from a dedicated trip coordinator—so the logistics don’t become the hardest part of diving. Together, we make sure your training and your travel plans actually match your goals, your comfort level, and the kind of diving you want to do.

Safety-first—without making it intimidating

We take safety seriously, and we teach it in a way that’s empowering, not scary. Safety isn’t a vibe or a slogan—it’s a set of habits you can practice until they become second nature.

Our approach emphasizes:

  • Solid fundamentals that translate to any environment
  • Situational awareness so you’re not surprised by small problems
  • Comfort with your gear so it feels familiar, not finicky
  • Decision-making and pacing so you stay in control of your dive

If you’re nervous, that’s normal. If you’ve had a rough experience before, we understand. We coach you forward without rushing you past the parts that matter.

Small-group learning that stays focused on you

Diving is hands-on. The best learning happens when you get attention, feedback, and time to repeat skills until they’re smooth.

We keep the experience intentionally small-group so you’re not competing for time, asking questions you don’t have space to ask, or getting pushed along at someone else’s speed. That means more coaching, clearer corrections, and better retention—because you’re doing the work, not watching from the edge.

If you want a training environment where you can speak up, slow down, and truly get it, you’ll fit right in.

What you can expect from our teaching style

We’re structured, patient, and practical. We don’t try to impress you with complexity—we aim for competence you can rely on.

Expect a learning experience that feels:

  • Clear (you’ll know what you’re working on and why)
  • Supportive (we coach you, we don’t judge you)
  • Skill-forward (practice beats hype—every time)
  • Confidence-building (real progress you can feel)

We want you leaving a session thinking, “I can do this,” because you’ve actually done it.

Let’s make your next step easy

If you’re exploring training, looking for a more personal instructor-led approach, or thinking about a trip and want it planned with a diver’s mindset, we’re ready.

Reach out and tell us where you’re starting and what you’re aiming for. We’ll help you choose a path that makes sense—and we’ll make sure you feel supported from the first conversation to the moment you’re back on the surface smiling.
